We, The Guilty, Of The United States Of America

I am only going to scratch the surface of what I want to say here, given the hour and whatnot.

This quote is taken from my real estate studies, and is essentially talking about the liability of someone who hires an agent to do a job.

I have a couple of different approaches and things to say on this. They are going to be fast and furious, but I want to get some responses, so I’m purposefully leaving them that way.

1) Since when does reason and logic (REALITY) not apply to business and society? And when did we let that happen? In doing some of my business classes, I have come across the theories of ethics being separate from business, and I must confess and I am disgusted and humored at the same time. Reality, is reality, no matter what context it is in.

2) The government is not this big massive entity that lives in it’s own realm with it’s own rules. It is a collection of individual representatives of the population (the individuals) of the United States of America. We elect them. They represent us. They act for us. By the context of that quote and, really, are not we, then, responsible for letting them get out of control? If the government is this big monster full of lies, deceit, and against the people… did not we let it get that way? And why do we not set it straight again? Why is it acceptable to complain, argue, and create disorder… but not to fix the problems?

3) If business and society are not based on reason and logic… what are they based on?
