But I guess that is really not the point, what other people think. I guess it just made it that more poignant. I’m ready for things to start happening. I’m ready to see changes made that I caused to happen, or to be a part of. This desire is in part because I want to be a part of it. But also just because I want to see something good happen.

Even among the readers of Uncouth, the views on life and death are varied. But, I believe quite simply that whether there IS something, there IS nothing, or just void… that we still have a life to live and suffering to beat.

I have a lot of plans. I’m going to keep you up to date more as I move from just school and work into making a difference.

As an aside, I was finally able to get back into the page administration. It has been a while because I made some changes to the server and somehow it broke all of the administration code.. not the regular code, just the administration. Anyways, I’ll be going through the past submitted articles and pushing them out. In addition, no more of this infrequent update crap.

- Completely removed the news module.

- Added a “news” category.

- Alphabatized all category listing and pull down menus.

It’s been busy, busy, busy times at work, I’m afraid, and I have been really sick. In fact, I just went to the doctor’s again today, the second day in a row. Still no sign of “fixed” in the future, so we shall see.

Anyhoo, when I actually get some time to sit down and write, I’ve got some good stuff for you. And the work sitting in the pipeline here rocks…

While we are working on this, I may post some articles that are more forum-esque in that they are more like “What do you think/discuss/etc” type pieces.

What I would REALLY like, though, is some feedback. Please tell me your thoughts on the site.. what you like (so I don’t take it away)… what you don’t like (so I CAN take it away)… what you would like to see (so I can add it).. and the like..

What reall sucks about this is that I also threw up in the corner of my room. And… it smells putrid. My dear friend brought his steam cleaner over and I go to try to clean it up, but because it was in the corner it’s been a complete pain in the arse. I think I’m going to try to get a professional clean-up-vomit-in-the-corner company to come clean it up. I hope that doesn’t cost too much.

Anyways, enough of my vomit. I have recently been introduced to two wonderful shows that I think I’m the last person in the world know about: Red Dwarf and Twin Peaks. I’m sure most people out there are scoffing at me for one or both of those.. whether in a good way or a bad way, I don’t care. You -must- get your hands on the tapes of these shows and watch them. I have been seriously so inspired by these that I may take my hand at writing something up for a TV series. I have high doubts of doing anything with it, but it would be a grand ole experience.

As I was sitting here trying to hold my solid food down and not feel like my intestines were trying to crawl their way out of my abdomen, I really am saddened, again, by the state of art and creation in America today. I watch something like Twin Peaks or Red Dwarf and I am amazed at how wonderful it is… but it is because they did not hold back. Both of those shows took risks and had neat, interesting, and while cooky and crazy, -real- characters. Even Agent Cooper.

Why do we allow art to be forsaken for consumption?

http://www.uncouth.net has made the move the new servers. What does this mean? The key to this is that we are no longer sharing the server and the load time will be faaaaaaaaast.

This also means I will work be working on Uncouth again. Fixing the code getting it all nifty and up to speed.

And writing again, too.

Look forward to getting this thing back up and running again.

Here is a list of some of things I’ve been doing:

- Working on helping develope the new The Infidelguy website, which is still in the works.

- Re-entraced with my Religious studies. I will began adding either to Uncouth or on a seperate site the begining’s of my religion database.

- Lots and LOTS of work :}

- Begining work on a comic with the Ryan’s. They’re almost kind of like the John’s…except not at all. (Bonus cookie’s if you know what the hell I’m talking about).

- Continueing work (and trying to get the website stable) for my game.

That’s just a smidge. School has really taken over as a priority again and most of my spare time has been studying and learning, especially on the influence on Judeo-Christianity from both mesopatamian and greco-roman influences. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

However, I will begin to update the site again with my own ramblines. I’ll clean the rant pages up a little and hopefully you will, as well.

I know we’ve been quiet for a while. I’ve been getting some things in order and tiring of the slowness of the site. We should be on an upswing for speed and hopefully content will pick up.

I have not put anymore work into the rant pages, as they did not seem to spark at all. Perhaps some more work will make it spark, but it is pretty damn disheartening anyways.

Things have been pretty crazy the last couple of weeks but.. soon, my precious.. soon… We shall have Uncouth moving fast again.

And that should spurn me on to the next phase! We shall sally forth upon their fields! Burn their villages! Eat their dead!

Anyways, I’m very happy with the new look. I’ve been tweaking some of the bugs in it and everything should be pretty smooth. I still need to do some small updating and I need to also get a scheme for the side boxes. We’ll see.

I’m currently working on the preferences, although let’s define “working” liberally in this case. Afterthat, I will be starting on the Rant Pages. Also, at some point, I’m going to be updating the login script and creating a secondary one, as I know there have been some problems.

I guess that’s about it….

I have some very cool ideas I’m going to start putting in place. I’m estimating about three weeks of coding time. I’ve been put in charge of setting up a very nice and, at least for me, very advanced network at work. So my head has been severely twisted.

Also, however, a lot has been going on and I think it’s kind of lit a small fire under me. Hopefully it will keep burning.

Looking forward to the Uncouth Rant Pages… and in the meantime, enjoy a small poem that sums things up for me:

Allright! I know! There have been some severe problems with the server. I swear it is nothing to do with the code! The “code” side of the site is fine, it is hardware technical problems, it seems, that are causing all of these problems.

I have no posted updates because of all the problems. We’ve got some articles waiting to be posted, but I’d rather they actually get read and enjoyed.. rather than sitting and festering, like old rotten wounds.

I’ve also put some work into the user system and you should see the beta version of that being released fairly soon. But not until I’m sure the site is staying up and running smoothly.

So, until they, enjoy some of the old articles and I might post one or two things to get a little new blood in.

I updated some of the login code, so those of you who had problems… they should hopefully be gone. And if you start having problems, please let me know.

I started to put some work into the Devonshire site this weekend. I did not get as far as I would have liked. I’m still pretty sad. I had someone committed to design it for me, so all I was going to do was build the back end, but that fell through some time ago. I will get to it though.

However, I have to first work on a project to build an online gaming clan website. Hey, I’m getting paid for it.

Also, I’m going to finish moving the archive over in the next day or two. I’ll have all the old “Uncouth News”, a now defunct mock news segment, Punkerslut’s articles which someone got pushed aside in the shuffle, and all the poetry and writing that I just seem to love to force on you.

Also, look ahead for very soon, Sara (Melodramatic.com) and I will be putting together a Sex and Relationships talk show, hosted on OuchFM! We don’t have the exact time frame, but it will be in the VERY, VERY near future. You’ve heard me complain about LoveLine… now I’m doing something about it.

I’m glad to see the comments now that the system actually works right…
